training & Consulting

Customized, experiential training that changes how clinicians practice
Most continuing education teaches concepts. My work focuses on what clinicians actually do in the room.

Effective care depends on procedural skill and conditional judgment, not just knowing the right model. Training and consulting are designed to help clinicians practice real skills, receive meaningful feedback, and develop confidence handling complexity.

What makes this training different

These workshops are interactive, engaging, and grounded in the real challenges your
team faces. Clinicians are not sitting through slides. They are practicing conversations,
repairing ruptures, experimenting with formulation, and learning how to adapt in real
time.

The goal is lasting behavior change, not short-term inspiration.

Built through partnership and
co-creation

I do not deliver off-the-shelf trainings.

Each engagement begins with a deep understanding of your clinicians, your culture, and your goals. Together, we co-create a training experience that fits your setting and evolves over time.

This approach includes feedback-informed training. Content adapts as we learn what works. Exercises are refined based on clinician experience. Follow-up consultation supports skill uptake beyond the initial session.

I train the same way I practice clinically: collaboratively, responsively, and with humility.

Formats that fit real life
Trainings can be delivered in person or remotely, as brief intensives or multi-day
workshops, and as one-time events or longitudinal programs. Series-based formats are available for organizations seeking deeper, sustained change.

Training topics (customized to your needs)
Offerings include motivational interviewing, therapeutic alliance and formulation,
addiction and co-occurring disorders, trauma-informed care, ASAM criteria, justice-
involved treatment, organizational consultation, clinician vitality, collaboration and
conflict resolution, formulation, engagement in treatment retention, and feedback-
informed systems.
